The number Reynolds

Αριθμός Reynolds

The number Reynolds helps us to foresee when the air  resistance is proportional to the velocity and when it is proportional to the square of velocity and it is fixed as follows:   

Ο αριθμός Reynolds είναι μια ποσότητα που μας βοηθάει να προβλέψουμε πότε η αντίσταση του αέρα είναι ανάλογη της ταχύτητας και πότε ανάλογη του τετραγώνου αυτής και ορίζεται ως εξής :   

                                                                       R_e = ρ v δ / μ                   

where:      

 όπου:                 

                 ρ=1,293 kg/m³, the density of air

                 ρ=1,293 kg/m³ , η πυκνότητα αέρα

                 v   the speed

                 v   η ταχύτητα 

                 δ   the diameter of a disk

                 δ   διάμετρος σώματος

                 μ =18,8 × 10^-6 Pa×s,  the air viscosity

                                                ο συντελεστής  ιξώδους του αέρα

     In the following table 1 appears the relation of number Reynolds with the law of resistance.
