of Family
The Sociology of the Family Unit is studying the family from a
sociological perspective. It deals with the study of the institution of
family, kinship and marriage forms which they take on the evolution of
society. Even studying the formation and evolution of family
relationships in a society and the importance of their role in the
operation and development of society.
The sociology of the family also deals with the multiplicity of forms of
family in modern societies with regard to ideology, gender differences,
and state policies such as those relating to marriage. Finally,
sociology is also studying families and their formation, social change
and the trends which led to the family, such as:
1.The rise of single households and smaller family units
2.The average age of marriage has risen
3.The average number of births has declined
4.The historical structure of fertility. From the boom in low birth rate
5. The aging of the population. The trend towards longer life
expectancy.
6. Increasing divorce rates and people will not marry
